My primary goal in the classroom is to cultivate a future generation of artists and theatre lovers by challenging and inspiring young people to express themselves through the theatre arts with honesty and courage.  My teaching is grounded with a core intentionality of social justice, inclusion, representation and cultural curiosity.  I actively engage with my students by sharing my passion for the universal connective magic of a shared theatrical experience through rigorous play, study of diverse materials, artistic collaboration, creativity and the joy of live performance.  Empathy is the undercurrent of all I do, and I teach it as a skill to be practiced that can be carried into all aspects of a students future life.
